2021 Scholarships with a deadline in July
1- The Denys Holland Scholarship at University College London
The Denys Holland Scholarship is for undergraduate students from any country, who without the scholarship’s support would be unable to secure the funding required to study at UCL. This scholarship is worth £9,000 per year for three years, for satisfactory academic progress.
For applications to be considered valid, Applicants must provide UCL Student Number or UCAS Application Number. Applications along with other documents should be submitted by email before 11.59 pm BST, Friday 2 July 2021.
Level/Field of study: The UCL offers scholarships in;
Bachelor’s Degree Programme in any subject studied at the University.
Eligibility Criteria: The candidate should;
- have a valid UCL Student Number.
- have an offer letter of admission to UCL for full-time undergraduate study starting in September 2021.
- be able to explain that they will take part in all activities offered by UCL and Student Union.
- Be in need of financial help.

2- ADB Scholarships at University of Auckland
The ADB-Japan Scholarship program provides an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member countries to undertake students in postgraduate studies. You are eligible to apply for the scholarship only after you have gained admission to an eligible postgraduate program listed below. And received an Official Place Offer from the University of Auckland.
To apply for the scholarship, Complete the Asian Development Bank – Japan Scholarship application form. And submit it with a copy of your Official Place Offer letter with other documents by post to the University of Auckland.
The Fields of Study covered by University of Auckland under this scholarship program are:
- The Masters of Public Health
- Masters of International Business
- Masters of Science (Environmental Sciences)
- Master of Arts (Development Studies)
- Masters Programmes in Engineering
Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must;
- Have gained admission to an approved master’s program at an approved academic institution.
- Have a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with good grades.
- must have work experience of two years (acquired after a university degree) at the time of application.
- Be proficient in oral and written English communication skills.
- Be under 35 years of age at the time of application. In exceptional cases, for programs appropriate for senior officials, the age limit is 45 years.
- Be in good health.
- Agree to return to your country after completing the study program.

3- University of New South Wales International Scholarships
UNSW offers a vast range of Scholarships and Awards to support International undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Applications for Term 3, 2021 will open on 1 May 2021. To apply, you must submit a Term 3 2021 – UNSW International Scholarships Application by 11.59 PM AEST, Saturday, 31 July 2021. The scholarship covers $5,000 for 1 year. You can also be considered to award by a full or partial tuition fee waiver and a stipend too.
Level/Field of Study: include Eligible Undergraduate and Postgraduate coursework Programmes offered at the University of New South Wales.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must:
- Be an International student.
- Be commencing the first term of your studies in Term 3, 202.
- Must have received an offer of admission by Saturday, 31 July 2021, and be commencing in any UNSW undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree in Term 3, 2021. Offers of admission must be one of the following:
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate Letter of Offer (unconditional)
- Undergraduate or Postgraduate English Package Offer (UEEC). Students must get admission to the UNSW Institute of Languages and successfully complete the program before commencing in Term 3, 2021.

2021 Scholarships with a deadline in August
1- Australian Government Research Training Program (AGRTP) International Scholarships at University of Flinders
AGRTP Scholarships are intended to support international students to pursue a research higher degree at Flinders University.
The scholarship covers a living allowance paid at the rate of $28,594 (2021 rate), international student tuition fees, Overseas Health Care cover, and an establishment allowance of up to $1,485 to help with relocation costs and airfares. The scholarship duration is up to two years for a Research Masters degree and up to three years for a Research Doctorate degree.
To apply for AGRTP Scholarship, you will need to first submit an application for admission to a Research higher degree (Ph.D. or Master of Arts by research). Then submit an application for the International RHD Scholarship group. Upon completion of admissions applications, you will receive access to the student system where you can submit your application for the scholarship.
Level/Field(s) of study: Full-time research higher degree (Research Doctorate degree or Research Masters degree) offered by the University of Flinders.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must;
- Have successfully completed the equivalent of an Australian First Class Hons degree (a four-year degree with a research project in the last year).
- Satisfy the University’s academic entry requirements for a Masters’s degree by research or Doctorate by research.
- Have met the English proficiency levels set by Flinders University for international students at the time of application. Students with English as a foreign language are required to provide evidence of their English language competence.
- Not hold an equivalent research degree. Applications are only open to students commencing a research higher degree for the first time in Australia.
- Not hold Australian permanent resident status, Australian Citizenship, or New Zealand citizenship.

2- DAAD Scholarships in Germany
This scholarship program is available for higher studies level (postgraduate, doctorate, post-doctorate, and other diplomas). You don’t require any kind of English language certificate like IELTS & TOFEL. DAAD scholarships offer international graduates from developing countries from all disciplines and with at least two years of professional experience, the chance to take a postgraduate or Master’s degree at a state, and in some cases to take a doctoral degree and to get a university qualification (Master’s/PhD) in Germany.Host institutions include all German Universities offering development-related postgraduate courses.
The scholarships cover monthly payments of 861 euros for graduates or 1,200 euros for doctoral candidates. Payments towards health, accident, and personal liability insurance cover; and travel allowance, unless these expenses are covered by the home country or another funding source. The duration of the scholarship is 12-24 months for Masters’s Degree and 42 months for a doctoral degree.

Eligibility Criteria: The applicant;
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (four years) in a relevant subject.
- must have completed an academic degree with above-average results (upper third). And at least two years of related work experience after the first degree (bachelor).
- His/her academic degrees should not be more than six years old.
- For courses in German (scholarship includes a 6-month German language course): Applicant must successfully pass the language examination DSH 2 or TestDaF 4 before the start of the course. Therefore, at the time of application, a minimum German language level of B1 is a requirement, that needs to be proofed by providing a certificate.
- For courses in English: IELTS (Band 6) certificate or TOEFL (minimum score: 550 paper-based, 213 computer-based, 80 internet-based) is required.
Deadline: Aug-Oct 2021 (annual). Depends upon the universities. Some might have a deadline this August and some may keep enrolling students till October.

2021 Scholarships; varying deadline dates
1- Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants for Development
The Rotary Foundation offers scholarship funding through the Rotary Foundation Global Grants. The Foundation provides scholarships for graduate-level coursework or research for 1-4 academic years. The target group includes Non-Rotarians sponsored by Rotary District or Clubs.
The budget for a global grant scholarship is $30,000(minimum) which covers the following expenses: Travel expenses (as specified in the grant terms and conditions), Passport/visa, Inoculations, School supplies, Household supplies, Tuition, Room and board, Language training courses.
Host Institution(s) Include Any approved University located in a country where there is a host Rotary club or district, outside of the student’s home country.
Level/Field(s) of Study: Graduate-level coursework or research in one of Rotary’s six areas;
- Peace and conflict prevention/resolution.Disease prevention and treatment.
- Water and sanitation.
- Maternal and child health.
- Basic education and literacy.
- Economic and community development.
- Disease prevention and treatment.
Application Instructions:
Interested candidates can contact their local Rotary clubs via the Rotary Club Locator to get help on how to get access to the grants. Global grant applications are due to submitted online. The sponsor clubs create the initial application. Then the scholar candidate completes the scholar profile online.
Global grant scholarship candidates get admitted on a rolling basis throughout the year. But they are asked to submit their applications at least three months before the scholar’s intended departure date. This gives the authorities adequate time for Foundation review and processing. Keep in mind that Each Rotary Club/District may have its own specific timeline.

2- Australia Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships
The RTP provides block grants, on a calendar year basis, (HEPs) to Higher Education Providers. This is to support both country’s own and international students undertaking Research Masters and Research Doctorate degrees.
Applications for RTP Scholarships must be submitted directly to participating universities. Every participating university has its own application and selection process. Please contact your chosen university directly to discuss how to apply for the RTP scheme.
Scholarship Value:
- An RTP Fee pays for the tuition fees of a higher degree by a research (HDR) student. This requires that a university fully offset the tuition fee applicable for a student. Keep in mind that this is not a stipend.
- An RTP Stipend to assist students with their living costs.
- RTP Allowances to help students with ancillary costs, (relocation costs to undertake an HDR, HDR thesis printing and academic publication costs and health cover costs for recipients and their dependents), of a higher degree by research (HDR).
RTP scholarships are available for a time period of two years for a research master’s and a minimum of three years and a maximum of four years for a research doctorate degree.
Level/Field of study: Masters by research degree or Doctorate Degree offered by RTP participating Universities in Australia.
Eligibility Criteria: Check out Section 1.5 in Commonwealth Scholarships Guidelines (Research) for basic eligibility criteria for an RTP.
To be eligible for an RTP Fees Offset, RTP stipend, or RTP Allowance, an applicant must be a domestic student or an international student enrolled in an accredited HDR course of study at an Australian HEP.
