It is definitely not the sweet kind but more like the kind you have to choke down and hold inside. I devoured it, staying up too late, gasping in shock or shuddering in horror at every turn. Despite being incapacitated and requiring a home nurse, the character of Verity is nothing short of unsettling.

After her graduation, she moved to Boston and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon, everything in her life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
