Google workspace has announced that users will be able to react via new feature emojis instead of trying to express their emotions in Google Docs.

When a person talks to someone else, he guesses from his expressions, what he wants to say. But on a written note, it is difficult for a person to guess what the other person’s feelings were when he was writing this. But Emojis are a great way to express these feelings.

 You have never used emoji in any academy paper till now but now you can use this feature in Google Docs.

Google has shared a GIF, in it, he explained what the feature would look like. Google says it is a less formal alternative to comments.

This Emoji feature will be available by default on April 20.

Emojis exist on various social media platforms with their significance such, you can react to Facebook posts via emoji, you can use emojis in your Instagram messages and now it is big news that you can react with these emojis in Google Docs too.

The emojis available in Google Docs are from version 14.0, which was released last September.

New feature emoji reactions in Microsoft Word and Google Docs

Microsoft Word has been in the top 1 ranking for many years but now Google Docs has started to compete with it.

Both Microsoft Word and Google Docs are easy to use and both have their advantages and disadvantages. But this emoji feature can be installed in both of them.

How to use Emojis in your Microsoft Word

Whichever ‘Word’ you use, depends on, how the emoji feature will be used in your document.

Add emojis in-browser version Microsoft

If you are using Word online then

  • select insert > Emoji

If you don’t see the emoji of your choice can select more emojis

If you are using Word on a desktop then

  • select symbols > more symbols

But all these emojis will appear in black like other symbols.

How to use emojis in Google Docs

Adding emojis to Google Docs is a bit difficult, it’s not easy.

Open Google Docs in a web browser

  • Select insert > special character.

If you don’t find an emoji of your choice, you can draw it. Google will give you the closest result according to your drawing.
