About Times Break

Independent guides to the tech you buy, the problems you fix and the games you play.

Times Break was founded by Usama Irshad and has been online since 2021. We write for readers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and Europe who want straight answers: which gadget is worth the money, how to fix the thing that just broke, what to play next, and whether a deal is really a deal.

What we cover

  • Tech: AI, apps, software updates, security and privacy.
  • Gadgets: phones, laptops, tablets, wearables, audio and smart home.
  • Gaming: PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC and mobile games.
  • Entertainment: streaming, movies, TV and the devices you watch them on.
  • How-To: step-by-step fixes and guides.
  • Deals: price drops on tech and games, for each country in its own currency.

How we pick and check

We only call something a review when we have used it ourselves. Buying guides and news stories are researched from the maker's own specifications, official announcements and hands-on reports, and we say so in the article.

Every deal on Times Break is checked by a person before it is published: we open the store, confirm the price and rewrite the description in our own words. Deals we find through official store and price feeds land in a review list first; nothing is copied from other deal sites. When a deal ends, it disappears from the site on its own.

Our Break Score (0 to 100) is a quick guide to how good a deal is. It combines the size of the discount, how the price compares with what we have tracked over the last 90 days, and the store or critic rating where one exists. It is not a review of the product. Our Buy now / Good price / Wait verdict appears only after we have tracked a price several times.

Editorial policy

  • Independence. Some links earn us a commission. That never decides what we cover or recommend, and brands cannot pay for a better verdict. See our affiliate disclosure.
  • Accuracy. Guides are updated when products, prices or software change. Every article shows when it was published or last updated.
  • Corrections. If we get something wrong, email info@timesbreak.com and we will fix it and note the change.
  • Sponsored content. If we ever publish something paid for by a brand, it will be clearly labelled as sponsored.
