Fast & Furious 9, one of many films set for release in 2020 delayed this year too. And fans of the Fast and Furious franchise went really furious over this decision. But now finally the shooting is finished and the decision has been taken to release the movie this year. Fast & Furious 9 might be taking a long route to come to us but one thing is sure now that the Movie is 100% completed.
With all the trailers and teaser clips we have, it seems like F9 really gonna take us on a wild ride. Yes, they are calling this new saga of the franchise, F9. And it makes the movie cooler, at least for me. IMDb is claiming the movie name is Fast and Furious 9. But all the posters are calling it F9. So, let’s go with F9. You know what? call it whatever you want. I know, in the end, we all will be going nuts over this movie. I know we will be!
F9: Fast & Furious 9 Release Date
Justin Lin, director of Fast & Furious 3 to 6, has returned and directed this new installment. In November 2020 he confirmed that the movie was “officially finished”. He also praised his crew for “working through such unprecedented times flawlessly” referencing *waves hands* all this going on.
After pushing the date for a whole year, now finally the date has been confirmed and the movie is due to release on June 25, 2021.
It’s next month, which means we don’t have to wait longer to get our hands on this new saga of the Fast and Furious franchise. Before this, the movie was set to release this May 28, 2021. But due to COVID-19 and other reasons it got delayed for one month. Let’s just pray this is the last date Fast & Furious 9 has got.
Fast & Furious 9 Teasers and Trailers
The teasers and trailer only revealed the bits of the movie on social media. These clips also include Vin Diesel announcing the casting of wrestler John Cena, as Diesel’s long-lost brother. After the first trailer, the new trailer gets us all more hyped about Fast & Furious 9, because this time, it’s Dom who has wronged his family. The previous official trailer reveals the return of Diesel, Charlize Theron, Michelle Rodriguez, Helen Mirren, and John Cena.
Some bits from trailer 2 revealed that his “little” brother John Cena as Jakob will reveal the reason for Dom allying with Cipher (Charlize Theron). Also, we have got a glimpse of Han in a trailer with some crazy well-targeted sniper rounds.
Fast and Furious 9: Total Car Nage
A sizzle reel posted last Friday revealed some amazing car stunts of the movie. And, oh man, wasn’t that breathtaking?. More precisely, that clip was 1 minute 26 seconds of disastrous collisions, flips, jumping and rolling, vehicular madness, and cars going crazy.
The in-car footage has sets our expectations high. And I know the movie is gonna get us hooked to our couches and gonna give us a whole lot of hangover.

Fast and Furious 10 and 11 – still happening?
The plan for the tenth and final movie was to release in April 2021. But then the plan obviously changed after all these delays. Vin Diesel wishes that fans actually got a two-part finale to the fast and Furious series. And it is coming true. Lin will be back as director and all the main cast members will get a feature in the movie for an amazing last ride.
But still, there’s been no confirmation by the authorities as to when the filming will start or when they’ll be released. But we should not hope for a double prize of Fast & Furious in 2021. The final two movies are likely to come in 2022, or longer. Meanwhile, enjoy watching the entire saga of Fast & Furious before the ninth and last two parts come out.
