Uploading Videos to YouTube:

If you want to upload videos to YouTube, you need a Google account. If you don’t have one, you can create a new one using an email address or phone number.

Uploading YouTube Videos using Phone:

  • You can use the YT mobile site or the mobile app to upload videos from your phone.
  • Select the camera icon from the left-hand panel.
  • Select Upload a video.

For Android:

  • Tap Photo Library. It’s near the top of the page.
  • Select a video and add a thumbnail.
  • Tap Select at the bottom of the screen.

For iPhone:

  • Tap Video Library. It’s at the bottom of the page.
  • Select a video and add a thumbnail.
  • Tap Done in the upper-right corner of the screen.

Note: If you don’t see any videos here, scroll down and select one of your albums from iCloud or Google Photos, then select one of its videos to upload to YT.

  • Choose a file and tap Open.
  • Optimize your video for SEO.
  • Enter metadata for your video, including title, description, and privacy settings.
  • The video is ready to upload.

For syncing your videos across devices:

  • You can use Google Drive to sync your videos across devices.
  • Open Google Drive.
  • Click on the “Google Apps” icon at the top right of the screen.
  • Click on the “More” option in the list that appears.

Note: You can’t upload videos larger than 1 GB or longer than 15 minutes using mobile devices. To upload longer videos or larger files, use the Google Photos app.

Uploading YouTube Videos Using Computer:

  • Sign in to YouTube on your computer.
  • If you are already signed in to your YT account with your Gmail account; you are automatically signed in to your YouTube account too.
  • In the top right, select Create a video or post Upload video.

Tags: Video tags help people find your video when searching on YouTube.

  • You can trim, add music, select a thumbnail, and set monetization options for your videos.
  • Learn how to make your videos more discoverable with keywords, an accurate description, and closed captions.
  • Make it public or private before starting the upload process.
