1.   Charge Your Battery from 80 to 90% maximum

Nowadays, smartphone batteries stress to drain themselves completely and charge them completely. Phone batteries are happy when you keep them from 30% to 80%. To be concise, keep them around 50% capacity.

If you keep charging your phone battery maximum to 100%, then after 1 year, battery capacity is left to 80%. In this term, try to charge your battery maximum from 80% to 90%.

There are many apps to maintain that range. I use AccuBattery for this purpose. The notification pops up when my battery level hits 80%. It also helps you to gain battery health provides you with further options.

2.   Keep Your Mobile Battery at Optimal Temperature

After using the phone for hours and hours, the phone gets overheated. Overheating is not only bad for the battery but the processor as well. The battery will degrade quicker than the cool one.

If you keep overheating it, your battery will lose 10-12% of its overall charge after 3 months. So, experts advise you to keep your mobile battery cool. Mostly, smartphones also give you the option to check the temperature of your battery. You can check your battery temperature to save it from overheating.

3.   Don’t Overcharge Your Battery

Sometimes, we charge our mobile phones at night. It keeps on charging till morning. It’s dangerous for the user to overcharge it. The battery can explode. It shortens the battery lifespan, too.

If you can’t stop doing it, then try to cool it or place it in a well-ventilated place. So, the heat dissipates from the battery. It’ll reduce the chance of battery explosion.

4.   Don’t Use Your Phone While Charging

Avoid using the mobile phone while charging. Because if you keep using it, the battery will heat and can be dangerous for you. As a result, it will degrade the battery performance.

But sometimes, an urgent call comes, and you have to answer that call. In this case, you should unplug the charger from charging and also eject the charger cable from your mobile phone.

One common reason for draining the battery is to leave the WiFi or Bluetooth on. Because when the WiFi or Bluetooth turns on, the device starts scanning for networks. It causes the draining of the battery. To avoid it, turned it off if you’re not using them.

On a related note, turn off the automatic WiFi option. This feature allows the phone to keep scanning for the networks even if the WiFi is turned off.

8.   Reduce Screen Timeout

If you leave your mobile phone screen on then after a particular time, it turns off automatically. By reducing screen timeout, you can save battery energy. Set the screen timeout on and below the 30 seconds. It’ll help to maintain and extend the battery lifespan.

If you are not using your mobile phone, then enable power-saving mode. It will extend the battery time. By doing this, your mobile phone health also improves. If your battery lasts 10 hours then by doing this, the battery will last 13-14 hours.
